Being an artistic minded perfectionist, Vallena has always been self motivated by her passions and creativity. After studying Art at the university in Salamanca Spain, Vallena found her way back to the states with the objective of bridging creative aesthetics and media. Joining the Connect18 team in December of 2006 gave her a chance to do just that. Vallena made her way to San Francisco intrigued by the cultural and inventive dynamic. It seemed to be home for all of the things that she loved. Taking an energetic role in media production and a fanatical role in artistic design, the philosophy of Connect18 couldn’t be a more perfect path to achieve her goals.

Finding refuge from the San Francisco showers Vallena can be found in the office under an umbrella of tasks to be completed for Connect18. After, fine tuning the basic challenges to keep the needs of the company met, she finds elation in tackling the creative direction for the Connect18 classes. When the weather permits, Vallena can also be found under the sun, camera in hand capturing photographs for course and media material. Her style of composition maintains a collective feel for travel and a flare for harmonious design.

When Vallena is not fulfilling her roles at Connect18, she may be in her web of social networks. Beware if she traps you into a friendly conversation about music, film or art it will almost always end in a fervent battle. To keep a balance from time to time Vallena retreats to quiet places to be alone, read and reflect.
