Setting your Expectations: A Balanced Experience
We are often asked whether our program is more focused on education or exercise; the answer is that the focus is your decision, not ours. Connect18 has researched and created a balanced, flexible offering that you may tailor to meet your needs. This flexibility comes in different forms, including:
  • Whether or not you take advantage of our online learning support and educational self-assessment tools. These tools can help serious learners maximize the educational value of our classes.

  • How hard you push yourself physically during the class. While a Connect18 instructor is a powerful motivator who will challenge you, you are ultimately in control of the resistance knob on your cycle and the pace of your workout.

  • The types of courses you choose to take. Course subjects vary in educational intensity. Our course catalog will help you pick the class that suits your interests.
While we provide our customers a great deal of flexibility in determining the educational or fitness focus of their program, there are certain things to keep in mind when considering the Connect18 program:

Don't Expect to Work Out Like a Triathlete
If you are familiar at all with traditional indoor cycling classes, you may know that they are often considered to be highly intense cardiovascular workouts. The Connect18 program, however, focuses primarily on aerobic (medium difficulty) exercise levels that are ideal for learning and fat burning.

Do Expect to Improve Your Body, Feel Great, and Learn Something New
Physically, the Connect18 program is great for goals such as:
  • Helping you lose weight,
  • Keeping your heart and body healthy,
  • Toning your lower body, and
  • Improving your mood and energy levels.
Educationally, Connect18 courses will meet a wide range of goals, for example:
  • Seeing and experiencing fascinating regions of the world,

  • Picking up a working knowledge of subjects ranging from wine to photography, and
